Dear Fellow OAPT Members,

Summer is just around the corner and we are in high gear getting ready for our annual conference full of training and networking opportunities.  This newsletter should reach you right about the same time as our Public Finance Officers Training Institute in partnership with the University of Akron.  I hope many of you are taking advantage of this great opportunity to work towards, or maintain, your CPFA designation.

I’m sure you have received your registration material for the APT US&C Conference being held in Spokane, WA, July 26 – 29^th, check our website at www.ohioapt.org for registration and scholarship information. 

Our annual fall conference will be at the Kalahari Resort and Conference Center, in Sandusky Ohio October 14 -16, 2009, inside you will find the preliminary agenda and registration material.  The conference will also allow you the opportunity to earn many of your professional certification credits/hours, including CPFA, CPIM and CPE’s.  We have kept our promise by providing you with a great value by keeping our registration fees low, we have negotiated an excellent room rate, and parking is free.  The Kalahari Resort and Conference Center has the largest indoor water park in the country, waterpark tickets will also be available to attendees at a significantly discounted rate.  As always, we are planning exciting evening events to network and keep you well entertained.  If you haven’t been to the Kalahari, I encourage you to visit their website at http://www.kalahariresorts.com/oh/ and then click on “waterparks” to explore the amazing waterpark and “amenities” to discover their many offerings, all inside the resort, including a spa, candy hut, pottery pizzazz, shopping, a massive game area, mini-golf and more, it’s enough to drive you wild – that’s a little jungle humor!
