About the Statistical Section Course:

GASP 44 – Economic Condition Reporting – The Statistical Section:
The statistical Section is a required part of the Comprehensive Annual Report (CAFR) and is effective for periods beginning after June 15, 2005. The new requirements list five categories of information – financial trends, revenue capacity, debt capacity, demographic and economic, and operating information. In addition, the most significant new information added relates to the government-wide, accrual based information required by GASB 34.

About the Trainer:
Ann Fritz is the Director of Finance for the City of Westlake. Ann is considered an expert of GASB rules and regulations.

Preparing for the Auditor’s Workshop:
Preparing for the Auditor’s can be a daunting task. Let the Auditor of State’s Office help make the process run more smoothly. This workshop will explain what the auditors will need, what they want you to provide and how to prepare some of the important schedules to make the audit run easier and quicker. This is a great workshop for new Clerk Treasurers and Fiscal Officers as well as a refresher course for all Clerk Treasurers and Fiscal Officers. Bring your questions and receive answers by an experienced auditor from the Auditor of State Mary Taylor’s Office.

About the trainers:
Rick Wade is an Auditor with the Auditor of State’s Office. He and his staff are experienced in the procedures and requirements of State Law and the Auditor of State’s Office and will answer any questions that you have.

Ohio APT was organized in 1974 to educate municipal and public financial officials in Ohio. Today the Ohio APT has over 475 members from all areas of the state.
